Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ed Green (ranked 723 p4p, 2534 weight class) and George Russell (ranked 98 p4p, 318 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ed Green!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of The Island, George Russell!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Santiago Holmes and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Green shoots in but no luck this time.
Russell shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Green as he avoids it easily.
Nice takedown defense from Russell. No joy for Green on that attempt.
Green definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Russell manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Green on his heels. He'll look to pass Green's guard now, I'm sure.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Green has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Russell is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Green.
Green is looking for a sweep.
Green looks to move to half guard but instead Russell has passed into mount! Damn!
Russell looking to control but Green is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Russell is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Green can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Russell wants to control the pace but Green is squirming around nicely.

Russell prevents Green from getting the reversal.
Green manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Russell is looking for a kimura here.
Green tries to roll over but Russell keeps him under control.

Russell seems to be working for a kimura but Green defends the submission attempt.
Russell is keen to just control but Green is a slippery customer.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Green won't allow Russell to pass to mount.
Green is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Russell's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Russell's back!
Green is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Russell is defending well though. Green let's go of the attempt for now.

Green doesn't have the hooks in and Russell manages to turn into his guard.
Russell wants to control from the top but Green keeps moving.
Green wants to sweep here but Russell controlling him for the moment.

Green bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Russell's guard.
Russell had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Green defends it easily.

Russell is trying to control the position but Green postures up.
Green slips nicely into half guard.

Green wants to work for an arm triangle but Russell is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Green wants to pass the guard but Russell is defending well.
Green looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Russell won't allow Green to pass to mount.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but George Russell will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.
Green fails with a takedown attempt.
Russell tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Russell shoots in for a takedown but Green shows good takedown defense.
Green shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Russell but Russell pushes him off and we're back to square one.
And Russell tries to counter it with a takedown but Green pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Ed Green has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of George Russell.
Russell shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Green's guard.

Green is pulling down on Russell's head to control his posture.
Green has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Russell doesn't defend quickly enough and Green has managed to lock this one up! Can Russell escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Green on a fantastic submission victory.
