Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Maurice Tillet (ranked 200 p4p, 1961 weight class) and Auric Gallahad (ranked 26 p4p, 277 weight class). Gallahad is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Go to War. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gallahad closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Tillet's guard.
Tillet throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

Gallahad is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Tillet is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Tillet has escaped and now he's on top!

Gallahad is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Gallahad escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Tillet gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Gallahad has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Tillet can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Tillet pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Gallahad is keeping the position for now.
Tillet sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Gallahad's guard.
Gallahad is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Tillet scores with a couple of nice shots.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Tillet connects with a nice short shot to Gallahad's temple.
Gallahad has hold of Tillet's hands but Tillet slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Tillet stands up over Gallahad, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Gallahad is trying to keep Tillet in close.
Gallahad avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Our spies down at at Island Gym inform us that Gallahad has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?
Tillet stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gallahad swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Tillet has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Gallahad looking to hit a scissor sweep but Tillet is one step ahead there.

Tillet definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Gallahad escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Tillet gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Tillet has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Gallahad to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Tillet is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Gallahad pulls down on the head and he's put Tillet to sleep! This one is all over!
