The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Russell Pearce and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Turner misses with a wild combination.
Turner misses the shot to the body.
Turner throws a leg kick but Mercer sees it coming and checks it nicely.
A looping hook to the body misses from Mercer. Turner does a little dance to reset his feet.
Bobby Mercer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mercer throws a sloppy head kick and Turner moves out of range easily.
Turner really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Sloppy strikes from Turner. Those never looked like landing.
Turner on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Mercer cracks Turner with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Mercer has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Turner to stand back up!
Turner is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A head kick misses from Mercer.
Oh Turner is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Mercer slips a jab and a cross from Turner.
Mercer is clearly looking to counter with head kicks.
Mercer lands a right hook to the body.
Mercer fakes the body blow, causing Turner to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Turner goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!
