Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wilhelm Van Hoodonk (ranked 2937 p4p, 2539 weight class) and Hunter Acosta (ranked 364 p4p, 302 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Wilhelm Van Hoodonk!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Hunter Acosta!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, John Kavanagh and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Acosta misses with a hook
and Van Hoodonk counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Acosta throws an off balance right hand
and Van Hoodonk counters with a stiff right hand.
It looks like Hunter Acosta has been cut.
Acosta rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Acosta takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Acosta swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Van Hoodonk makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Van Hoodonk has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Van Hoodonk there as he acknowledges the shot.
Acosta falls off balance throwing a combination
and Van Hoodonk counters with a nice right hand that sends Acosta toppling to the canvas! Acosta scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Van Hoodonk finish him?!
Acosta is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Van Hoodonk weaves into range and cracks Acosta right on the temple with a beautiful overhand right! Acosta goes down! He's out cold! Wow, what a beautiful knockout! Van Hoodonk is strutting round the canvas like a movie star as the camera bulbs flash frantically.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Wilhelm Van Hoodonk!
