Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 31 - 17 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, David Cain!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dennis Abensur!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yukihiro Shimada and Taro Takaoka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Abensur looks to score with a jab to the body but Cain is just out of range.
Cain was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Cain moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Abensur steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Cain.
Abensur swings for the body but Cain moves out of range.
Cain is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Abensur.
Abensur is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Cain with a body shot.
Abensur throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Abensur throws an off balance right hand
and Cain counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Abensur throws a body shot but no joy.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Cain misses the jab.
Cain throws a hook but Abensur avoids it easily.
Abensur uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Cain.

Cain rushes Abensur and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Cain has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Abensur working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Abensur jumps guard but Cain turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Cain's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
No joy there for Abensur, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Cain appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Abensur keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Cain clobbers Abensur with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
A lazy left from Abensur finds it's target.
Abensur just misses with a punch to the body.
Abensur misses with a combination
and Cain rattles Abensur with a well-timed uppercut counter. - Abensur tries to back away and recover but his hands are down low and he gets tagged again, sending him stumbling down to the canvas. Cain dives in after him and quickly finishes the job with a trio of brutal punches, leaving Abensur stiff and motionless on the mat!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). David Cain!
David Cain gave a mention to Helsinki Xtreme Fightwear in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
