The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Ben Watson and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nagashima tries for a takedown but Thompson sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Horrible takedown attempt by Nagashima or perhaps it was just good defense by Thompson , which made it look bad.
Nagashima gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Nagashima gets a double leg takedown into Thompson 's guard.
Nagashima working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Thompson is pulling down on Nagashima's head. It's preventing any offense from Nagashima, at least for the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Nagashima throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Thompson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Nagashima has his hands clasped together but Thompson extends and breaks Nagashima's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Thompson .
