Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Victor Tamarit (ranked 6770 p4p, 4410 weight class) and August Jeaux (ranked 465 p4p, 391 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tamarit is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Jeaux lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Jeaux jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Jeaux sizes up Tamarit with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Jeaux tests Tamarit's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Tamarit's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Jeaux connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Tamarit scrambles back to his feet.

Tamarit has been working on his boxing with his coaches at JAG Battle Gym in the buildup to the fight.

Jeaux scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Jeaux tries to bum rush Tamarit with a series of wild strikes but Tamarit uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Tamarit walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Jeaux misses with a straight right.
Jeaux is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Tamarit had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush.
Tamarit is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Jeaux.
Jeaux might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Tamarit takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Tamarit really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

August Jeaux dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Jeaux throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Jeaux lands with a nice body punch.
Jeaux shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Tamarit eats them both and turns towards Jeaux to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Jeaux looks to land a combination but Tamarit avoids it well.
Tamarit gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Tamarit uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Jeaux.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jeaux drops Tamarit with a beautiful combination! Tamarit stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Jeaux is looking for the KO!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Oooooh!!! Jeaux has knocked Tamarit down with a huge combo! Jeaux steps away and waves a wobbly Tamarit back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Oh Tamarit is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Jeaux batters Tamarit with a massive right followed by a huge left! Tamarit is out on his feet looking like a zombie as Jeaux lands a final crushing right hand to drop Tamarit to the mat with a gruesome thud! Jeaux is running around like a mad man after that fight and for good reason!
