Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Timur Vasiliev (ranked 830 p4p, 1839 weight class) and Frank Blank (ranked 24 p4p, 56 weight class). Frank Blank will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Timur Vasiliev!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Frank Blank!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Peter Branson and Dirk Anderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blank tries to clinch there but Vasiliev circles away.
Vasiliev wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Blank falls off balance throwing a combination
and Vasiliev counters with a nice uppercut.

It looks like Frank Blank has been cut.
Vasiliev has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Tez’s Stand N Bang ! in the buildup to the fight.
Blank moves away from the strike by Vasiliev.
Frank Blank seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Vasiliev swats away the attempt to clinch by Blank.
Blank scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Blank connects with a body shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Blank misses with a wild body shot.
Vasiliev takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Blank lands with a good body shot.
Vasiliev with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Blank to score with a decent uppercut.
Blank tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Vasiliev manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Blank gets a clinch.

Vasiliev escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Blank looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Vasiliev throws the left hand but Blank avoids the punch easily.
Blank tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Vasiliev paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Blank looks to land a combination. Vasiliev sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Blank bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Vasiliev's head backwards.
A looping hook to the body misses from Blank. Vasiliev does a little dance to reset his feet.
Vasiliev keeps the fight on the outside.
Vasiliev takes a swing at Blank's ribcage but misses.

Vasiliev closes the distance and clinches.
Vasiliev lands a shot to the body.
Vasiliev lands a shoulder strike.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Vasiliev working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Vasiliev tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Vasiliev can't find room to land a body shot as Blank controls the action.
Blank lands a left hand that snaps the head of Vasiliev backwards.
Vasiliev keeps control of Blank as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Blank looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Vasiliev working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Vasiliev pushes Blank back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

That has opened up Frank Blank's cut even more.
A shot in the inside from Vasiliev.
Vasiliev scores with a shoulder strike.
Vasiliev digs a right hand underneath Blank's ribcage. Blank let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Blank looks winded!
Blank tries to stall but Vasiliev uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Vasiliev lands a body shot in the clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Vasiliev working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.

The cut above Frank Blank's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Vasiliev lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Blank or not.
Vasiliev lands an uppercut.

Vasiliev breaks from the clinch.

Vasiliev takes the fight into the clinch.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Vasiliev.
A hook to the body from Vasiliev.
Vasiliev lands with a left to the head.
Vasiliev lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
A short right from Vasiliev on the inside.

Frank Blank's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Vasiliev.

Blank is rocked!
Vasiliev pushes Blank against the cage. Vasiliev is working some dirty boxing. Vasiliev pushes off with a quick right hook! Blank goes down! Blank tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Vasiliev moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Timur Vasiliev!
During a confident post fight interview, Timur Vasiliev thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
