Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mike Ziskie (ranked 817 p4p, 1640 weight class) and Marcus Behnder (ranked 127 p4p, 230 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Mike Ziskie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Marcus Behnder!
The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Daniel Franklin and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ziskie stuffs the takedown.

Ziskie gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Ziskie has hold of one of Behnder's legs. Behnder is fighting the takedown attempt but Ziskie gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Ziskie has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Behnder is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Ziskie stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Behnder swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Ziskie will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Behnder working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ziskie doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Ziskie manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Behnder working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ziskie doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Ziskie manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Ziskie has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Behnder is proving hard to escape from.

Ziskie drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Behnder manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Ziskie has Behnder in his guard.


Ziskie has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Behnder can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Ziskie seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

Ziskie has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Behnder is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Ziskie.
