Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Luke Neer (ranked 3923 p4p, 4454 weight class) and Michael Sizemore (ranked 528 p4p, 565 weight class). Neer comes to the cage accompanied by Back In Black. Sizemore has chosen Go Get It as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Luke Neer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Michael Sizemore!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Skip Squint and Donatello Bradman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Sizemore.
We've been hearing good reports from Neer's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
You can see the frustration on Neer's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Sizemore sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Neer is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Neer keeps control of the position for the meantime.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Sizemore prevents Neer from improving his position.
Sizemore is nestled in close to Neer, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Neer is trying to maintain the position but Sizemore is very close to passing his half guard.
Sizemore seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Neer is staying active underneath Sizemore, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Neer connects with a nice short shot to Sizemore's temple.
We've been informed that Sizemore has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Neer is thwarting Sizemore's attempts to control the position.

Neer takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Neer moves into full mount! Sizemore won't be happy about that!
Sizemore is bucking up trying to escape but Neer cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Sizemore is rocked!

Neer postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Sizemore in real trouble here! The ref calls for Sizemore to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:26 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Luke Neer!
Luke Neer decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
In defeat, Michael Sizemore stepped up to the mic, saying 'You know we came and gave our all, just wasn't enough or a bad plan. We'll head back train harder and return better. '.
