Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ben Aspirin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Julian Rivera!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Steve Erwin and Winston Howard.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aspirin shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Rivera as he jumps to the side.

Rivera gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Aspirin slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Aspirin scoring with some ground and pound.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Aspirin stands up over Rivera, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Aspirin seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Aspirin slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Aspirin keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Rivera's head.

Rivera is looking for a triangle but Aspirin pushes his legs off easily.
Aspirin lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Rivera is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Aspirin with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Aspirin is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Rivera is rocked!

Rivera working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Aspirin doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Aspirin manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Rivera looks winded!

Rivera isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Aspirin stacks Rivera on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Aspirin!

Rivera tries to buck Aspirin off but Aspirin is having none of it.

Aspirin cracks Rivera with a big elbow.
Aspirin scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Rivera is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Aspirin can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ben Aspirin!
A less than humble Ben Aspirin misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
