Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Eddie Bravo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Elias Korpela!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Korpela throws a right hand that misses

and Bravo counters with a takedown into side control.

Bravo goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Korpela has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Bravo but great work by Korpela.
Bravo manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Bravo looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Bravo trying to hold on to Korpela's head to control him but Korpela postures up.
Bravo is looking to improve his position.
Korpela wants to pass the guard but Bravo is defending well.
Bravo is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Mapinguari Guerreiro, so we'll see if he gets out of it.

Bravo is working hard here to advance position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Bravo actively working from the bottom here.
Bravo wants to control but Korpela passes into side.
Bravo struggling a bit here.
Bravo is looking for a sweep.
You can see the frustration on Bravo's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Bravo manages to get back to half guard.
Bravo is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Bravo has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Korpela escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Korpela!

Korpela moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Bravo wants to control but Korpela postures up.
Bravo tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Korpela easily slips into full mount!
Bravo is in all sorts of trouble here.
Korpela really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bravo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Korpela sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Bravo tries to improve his position but instead Korpela has taken his back!
Bravo tries to escape the position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Our spies down at at Finland's Finest MMA Gym inform us that Korpela has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?
Korpela has good solid back control here.
Let's hope that Korpela has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Elias Korpela dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Korpela's jab looks to have found its range, popping Bravo under the eye.
Korpela scores with a sloppy right hand. Bravo should have avoided that one.
Bravo tries for a takedown but Korpela circles away easily
and Korpela counters with a two punch combo.
A shot to the liver by Korpela. Beautiful body shot.
Korpela just misses with a punch to the body.
Bravo changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Korpela catches Bravo with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Korpela swings for the body but Bravo moves out of range.
Bravo feinted with a counter takedown.
Nice uppercut lands for Korpela. That snapped Bravo's head back.

Korpela tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Bravo was well out of range. Poor timing from Korpela.
Nice jab there from Korpela.

Bravo is rocked!
Elias Korpela is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
A jab from Korpela does it's job there.
Oh Bravo is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Korpela with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Bravo takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Korpela circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Bravo to the canvas! Bravo doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Korpela keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
