Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Joe Dinapoli!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Vito Corleone!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dinapoli keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
It looked like Dinapoli was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Decent striking displayed by Corleone there.
Dinapoli lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Dinapoli.
Corleone misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Dinapoli stuffs the takedown attempt from Corleone. Corleone gets slowly back to his feet.
Corleone misses with a hook to the body
and Dinapoli counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Corleone is looking to clinch but Dinapoli is avoiding it.
Dinapoli lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
It looks like Vito Corleone has been cut.
Corleone shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Dinapoli as he avoids it easily.
Dinapoli was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Joe Dinapoli has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Vito Corleone.
Corleone has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Dinapoli finds it's way round the side to connect with Corleone's head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Dinapoli counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Vito Corleone seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dinapoli bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Dinapoli listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Corleone fails in his attempt to clinch.
Corleone gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Dinapoli gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Joe Dinapoli!
