Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jack Skellington (ranked 828 p4p, 377 weight class) and Kyle Switzer (ranked 127 p4p, 55 weight class). Switzer has chosen The Rolling Stones - Street Fighting Man as his entrance music. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jack Skellington!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kyle Switzer!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Skellington fails with the takedown
and Switzer counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Skellington tries to score a power double leg takedown but Switzer sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Skellington somewhat.
Skellington goes for a double leg but Switzer avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Switzer continues to drive forward.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jack Skellington. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Switzer breaks from the clinch.
Skellington shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Switzer pinned against the cage. Switzer gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Skellington gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Switzer counters with a head kick that drops Skellington to the mat! Skellington scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!

Skellington is rocked!
Skellington dives in for a single leg takedown but Switzer sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Switzer doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
A right hook to the body lands for Switzer.
Skellington fails to pull guard.
Skellington is trying to pull guard but Switzer has him pressed against the cage.
Skellington jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Switzer walks away with a smile on his face. Skellington gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Switzer thuds a left hand into Skellington's body.
Skellington is breathing heavily.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Switzer lands a nice looking kick to the body. Skellington takes a step back to recover.
Kyle Switzer is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Switzer feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Skellington sprawling to the canvas! Skellington rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Switzer finish him?!
Oh Skellington is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Switzer lands with a kick to the ribs.
Switzer measures up his opponent and throws a superman punch that connects to the jaw! Down goes Skellington! The ref steps in, and that's the ball game folks!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:16 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Superman Punch). Kyle Switzer!
Kyle Switzer was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
