Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Charlie River (ranked 2851 p4p, 1416 weight class) and Caio Peieira (ranked 162 p4p, 83 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think River might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Waylon Jennings - I've Always Been Crazy. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
River with a jab.
It looks like Caio Peieira has been cut.
Peieira blocks a jab.
Peieira misses with a leg kick.

River has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Rivers Edge Gym in the buildup to the fight.

and River makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Caio Peieira seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Peieira wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
River misses with a series of wild punches.
Peieira throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.

River swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

River thows a left - swing and a miss!
Peieira throws a leg kick but River moved away.
Peieira throws a lazy body kick
and River counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Peieira shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. River manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Peieira advances position into side control!
Peieira has worked his way into a potential kimura here. River is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Peieira yanks on the arm and River is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Peieira.
