Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kosmodrom Baikonurov (ranked 3093 p4p, 2486 weight class) and Napoleon Panda (ranked 176 p4p, 142 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kosmodrom Baikonurov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Napoleon Panda!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Panda closes the distance and clinches.
Panda jumps guard but Baikonurov stands there with Panda around his waist. Panda gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Baikonurov lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Panda tries to pull guard but Baikonurov holds him up against the cage and eventually Panda drops back down to his feet.
Panda fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Kosmodrom Baikonurov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Napoleon Panda.
Panda tries to pull guard but Baikonurov forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Baikonurov lands a shoulder strike.
Panda tries to pull guard but Baikonurov holds him up against the cage and eventually Panda drops back down to his feet.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Baikonurov creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Panda tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Baikonurov just stands there and leans against the cage.
Baikonurov lands a body shot in the clinch.
Baikonurov escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Panda wants to clinch
and Baikonurov counters with a three punch combo that has Panda backing up. Panda nods at Baikonurov to acknowledge the strikes.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Panda fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
As Panda backs away, Baikonurov returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
Panda closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Panda lands in his opponent's guard.
Panda stops Baikonurov from standing up.
Baikonurov manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Panda manages to get himself to full guard.
Baikonurov is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Beasties that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.
Panda is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Baikonurov defends well.

Baikonurov's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Panda looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Baikonurov has picked Panda up and slammed him! Panda can't keep hold of the triangle and Baikonurov manages to pass to side control!
Panda seems a little lost for a moment, as Baikonurov dominates the positioning.
You can see the frustration on Panda's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Panda tries to bench press Baikonurov off him but Baikonurov keeps the position.

Baikonurov is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Panda gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Panda is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Baikonurov with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Baikonurov passes to side control.
Panda seems a little lost for a moment, as Baikonurov dominates the positioning.
Panda tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Panda is still trying to improve position.
Baikonurov takes a little break here. Panda wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Baikonurov lands with a good body shot.

Baikonurov cracks a nice hook into Panda's ribs.
Panda darts in looking for a takedown but Baikonurov gets double underhooks and turns Panda into the cage.
Panda is looking to clinch but Baikonurov is avoiding it.
Panda changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Baikonurov tries to avoid it but Panda manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Baikonurov to the ground. Baikonurov escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

That kick from Baikonurov tenderised Panda's leg. Panda is trying to keep his angry face on.
Panda chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Baikonurov can pounce on him.
Baikonurov lands a glancing blow to the side of Panda's head.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Baikonurov is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Panda shoots in looking for a takedown. Baikonurov tries to sprawl out of it but Panda keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Baikonurov manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Baikonurov looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.

Both fighters circling a little - Baikonurov finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Panda tries to score a power double leg takedown but Baikonurov sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Panda somewhat.

Baikonurov fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Panda looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Panda takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Panda is still on wobbly legs! Can Baikonurov finish him?
Panda doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Baikonurov counters with a head kick from the bowels of hell that crumples Panda! This one is all over!
