PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Glass Joe (ranked 1768 p4p, 1858 weight class) and Jaro Lalla (ranked 106 p4p, 112 weight class). Joe comes into the arena with Glass Joe's Title Fight blaring out of the sound system. Lalla is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by ЛЮБИ. The key to victory for Glass Joe has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 28 - 14 - 0, fighting out of New York, Glass Joe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 18 - 2, fighting out of London, Jaro Lalla!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Joe is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Lalla.
A little jabbing left from Lalla on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Joe scores with a body shot.
Lalla takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Joe fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Lalla! But no joy.
Glass Joe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Joe throws a jab but it's blocked by Lalla.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Lalla is looking to work some ground and pound but Joe has wrist control.

Lalla is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Joe pulls Lalla in close to prevent any damage.

Lalla has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at JAG Battle Gym. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.
Lalla throws a strike but Joe rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
