Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jerome Reece (ranked 4350 p4p, 24478 weight class) and Sutarjo Sukarman (ranked 515 p4p, 0 weight class). Jerome Reece could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Sutarjo Sukarman's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jerome Reece!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sutarjo Sukarman!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Trevor Gratis and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sukarman stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Reece.
Sukarman takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Reece throws a head kick that misses.
Sukarman takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Sukarman shoots in but no luck this time.
Sukarman fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Reece tries to keep at a distance but Sukarman has taken the fight into the clinch.
Reece throws an elbow but it's blocked.

Sukarman pulls Reece into guard.

Sukarman working for a triangle but Reece defends it easily.
Reece preventing the sweep.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Sukarman has his foot on Reece's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Reece works his way back into a safe position though.
Reece looking to sit in guard and control but Sukarman gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Sukarman stops Reece from standing up.

Sukarman stands up from Reece's guard - Sukarman perhaps looking for a knockout.
Reece fakes the leg kick and cracks Sukarman in the body.
Sukarman showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Reece.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Sukarman looks to land a combination. Reece sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Reece tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Sukarman paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Sukarman changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Reece tries to avoid it but Sukarman manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Reece to the ground. Reece escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Jerome Reece has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sutarjo Sukarman.

Sukarman drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Sukarman trying to control the position from guard on top but Reece is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Sukarman stops Reece from standing up.
Reece has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
Reece is trying to control the position but Sukarman postures up.
Sukarman working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Reece is wriggling around but Sukarman manages to pass to half guard.
Sukarman missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Sukarman is controlling the pace.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Reece is looking to improve his position.

Sukarman is looking for a kimura here.
Reece wants to control but Sukarman is keeping busy and won't allow it.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Sukarman wants to take a breather but Reece is having none of it.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Sukarman is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Sukarman working over Reece with some ground and pound. Reece looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

Sukarman escapes and gets back to his feet.
Reece shoots in looking for a takedown but Sukarman manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Reece's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Reece lands a high kick!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Sukarman dives in for a single leg takedown but Reece sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Sukarman fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Sukarman avoids the head kick by Reece.
Sukarman takes a body punch but keeps moving.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Sutarjo Sukarman will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

The fight stays on the outside here - Reece looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Sukarman shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Reece defends it nicely.
A nice inside leg kick there by Reece. That's going to slow Sukarman down.
Whack! Reece lands a heavy head kick that drops Sukarman. The ref tackles Reece to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Sukarman was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:34 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Jerome Reece!
Jerome Reece decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
Sutarjo Sukarman was interviewed post fight and said 'Next i'll win'.
