PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Doobie Garcilazo (ranked 4671 p4p, 4836 weight class) and Bjj Bot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Doobie Garcilazo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bjj Bot!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, George Francis and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Garcilazo shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Bot manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Garcilazo wants to control from the top but Bot keeps moving.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Garcilazo drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Bot dives on top into guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bot not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Garcilazo bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Bot's guard.

Garcilazo has his foot on Bot's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bot works his way back into a safe position though.

Bot is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Garcilazo is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Doobie Garcilazo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Bot gets caught napping as Garcilazo dives in and scores a takedown. Bot manages to retain guard.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Garcilazo drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Bot manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Garcilazo has Bot in his guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Garcilazo fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Bot sprawls well initially but Garcilazo persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!


Garcilazo closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Bot to the mat! Bot manages to get full guard.

Garcilazo tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Garcilazo has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Bot tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Garcilazo wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Garcilazo swings around for an armbar but Bot sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Garcilazo's guard.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Bot slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Well Garcilazo has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
