Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mark Henry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Martin Kampan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mark Henry! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Martin Kampan! The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, David Schapiro and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kampan shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Henry as he jumps to the side. A head kick lands from Henry that sends Kampan to the canvas. Kampan tries to scramble back to his feet but Henry brings him back down into side control.
It looks like Martin Kampan has been cut. Kampan is letting Henry control him for a moment. Henry advances to full mount. Henry get's back to his feet. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Henry misses with a takedown attempt - Kampan sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Henry has a takedown stuffed. Henry looks for a takedown but Kampan sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mark Henry. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kampan will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Kampan's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Kampan duly obliges. A right-left combo lands from Kampan. Kampan blocks a head kick by Henry.
Henry is breathing heavily. Henry gets the takedown into side control. Kampan manages to get back to half guard. Kampan wants to get back to his feet.
Henry wants to take a breather but Kampan is having none of it. Henry controlling the action here. Henry is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Henry prevents Kampan from getting back to his feet. Kampan has his foot on Henry's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Henry works his way back into a safe position though. Henry throwing strikes but missing.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Henry throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kampan's waist but Kampan gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Henry off to one side. Henry misses with a takedown attempt - Kampan sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Henry dodges the punch combination from Kampan.

Martin Kampan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kampan moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Kampan tries to clinch there but Henry circles away.
Henry tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kampan paws at him with a jab and circles away. Henry changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kampan tries to avoid it but Henry manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kampan to the ground. Kampan escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Kampan throws a one two combo.
Kampan looks to land a combination but Henry avoids it well. Henry shoots in for a takedown but Kampan shows good takedown defense. Kampan stuffs the takedown attempt from Henry. Henry gets slowly back to his feet. Nice takedown defense from Kampan. No joy for Henry on that attempt. Kampan moves into the clinch. Henry jumps guard but Kampan stands there with Henry around his waist. Henry gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Henry pulls guard effortlessly. Henry wants to sweep here but Kampan controlling him for the moment. Henry lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Kampan! Henry gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks! Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Kampan!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Henry throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Henry scores a takedown into full mount! Henry sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mark Henry dominated that round. The cut man is working on Martin Kampan's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Henry closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Henry lands in his opponent's guard. Henry stands and steps away. Kampan gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Kampan shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Henry as he avoids it easily. Kampan pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Henry closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Kampan to the mat! Kampan manages to get full guard. Kampan is working an open guard so Henry takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Henry. Henry has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Henry changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Kampan looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kampan prevents Henry from improving position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Henry has hold of Kampan's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Kampan tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Henry cranks the arm and Kampan screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Kampan, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:23 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Mark Henry!
