Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between EJ Whitten (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joseph Temille (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Temille's choice of entrance music: Blazin. Joseph Temille has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, EJ Whitten! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joseph Temille! The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Russell Pearce and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Whitten shoots in and drives through. Temille sprawls well. Temille pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Whitten shoots in for a takedown but Temille shows good takedown defense. Whitten gets the takedown into side control. Whitten throwing shots but missing, from side control. Whitten looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Whitten trying to control the action but Temille is working from the bottom. Whitten is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Temille knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Temille misses with an elbow from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Whitten working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Whitten thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Whitten is breathing heavily. Temille is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Temille trying to hold on to Whitten's head to control him but Whitten postures up.
Temille gets full guard. Temille wants to stand and escape but Whitten is having none of it. Whitten postures up.
Whitten looking to sit in guard and control but Temille gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Temille sitting in guard, not really doing much. Temille passes Whitten's left leg - he's now in half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Whitten is not content to let Temille control the position. Temille is working for a submission of some sort.
Whitten wants to sweep but Temille has passed to side control!
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Whitten is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Temille is one step ahead and moves to full mount! Whitten wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back. Temille is riding his opponent, not letting Whitten buck him off. Temille is hanging on to Whitten's back as he tries to escape.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Whitten is working hard here to advance position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Temille forces Whitten back against the cage and clinches. Whitten can't get the takedown.
Temille is pressed up against the cage. Whitten has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Temille down to the mat. Temille avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Temille stuffs the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for EJ Whitten. That's going to take a lot out of him. Whitten will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Temille shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Temille seems to be working for a kimura but Whitten defends the submission attempt. Whitten is trying to get back to full guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Whitten wants to sweep but Temille has passed to side control! Whitten is looking to regain half guard here but Temille keeps moving and retains side control. Whitten tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Temille easily slips into full mount! Whitten is squirming around, avoiding Temille's attempts to control the action.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Whitten has given up his back here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Whitten is trying to break free.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Temille tries to get the hooks in deep but Whitten pushed the leg off. Whitten breaks Temille's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Excellent takedown into side control there by Whitten. Whitten is looking to take a break and control but Temille is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Whitten has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Whitten gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Temille counters with a three punch combo that has Whitten backing up. Whitten nods at Temille to acknowledge the strikes. Temille throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Whitten shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Temille counters by clinching up. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Whitten looking for a takedown. Temille is pushing Whitten up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Temille fails to pull guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Joseph Temille showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Whitten throws a sloppy body shot
and Temille counters with a left and a right that stings Whitten. Temille shoots in for a takedown but Whitten shows good takedown defense. Whitten gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Temille counters with a stiff right hand. Whitten closes the distance looking to clinch and Temille counters with a nice double leg into guard. Whitten is working an open guard so Temille takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Whitten shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Temille decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Whitten's guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Whitten throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Temille escapes and throws Whitten's legs to the side, diving into side control! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Whitten is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Temille is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
That's one minute gone in the round. Temille get's back to his feet. Whitten doesn't succeed with the takedown and Temille counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for EJ Whitten. That's going to take a lot out of him. Whitten shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Temille counters with a nice body kick.
Whitten gets the takedown into side control. Whitten wants to control but Temille is keeping him busy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Whitten wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Temille, who protects the arm well. Whitten goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Temille rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Whitten's guard! Nice work there by Temille! Whitten looking to control but Temille passes into half guard.
Temille seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Whitten does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Temille is thwarting Whitten's attempts to control the position. Whitten makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Whitten. Temille avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Whitten is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Whitten wants to stand and escape but Temille is having none of it. Whitten is looking for a triangle here but Temille uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Whitten tries to strike from the bottom but misses. Joseph Temille is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Whitten is looking to regain half guard here but Temille keeps moving and retains side control.
And that's the end of the fight! Joseph Temille comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Temille has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
