The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Batta throws out a loose jab but Potatohauler uses good head movement to avoid it.

and Potatohauler cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
It looks like Schwing Batta has been cut.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Batta tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Potatohauler was well out of range. Poor timing from Batta .
Potatohauler ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
A quick step to the side and Potatohauler tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Batta gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Potatohauler blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Potatohauler manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Batta tries to work over Potatohauler's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Batta 's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Potatohauler cracks Batta 's jaw with two stiff jabs then ducks low and throws a soul-severing right uppercut to the mouth!! Batta slumps to the ground with blood on his lips. The referee steps in before Potatohauler can do further damage! This one is done, son!

Joey Bob Potatohauler decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
