Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dylan Nolan (ranked 6884 p4p, 5768 weight class) and Gajah Mada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mada has chosen Fighter Mode as his entrance music. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dylan Nolan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Gajah Mada!
The judges for this bout are Chris Dean, Skip Squint and Steve Erwin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nolan lands with an uppercut that bounces Mada off the cage and back into range.
Nolan throws a body kick that misses.
Mada moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Mada.
Nolan is looking for a counter combo.
Nolan misses with a jab, cross combination.
Nolan avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Nolan seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Mada tries for a takedown but Nolan sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
A counter left hand to the body from Nolan misses its target.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nolan throws a right hand that Mada ducks under and follows up with a left that Mada also avoids with ease.

Mada rushes Nolan and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Mada has Nolan pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Nolan manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

and Nolan counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Mada uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Nolan.
A slapping leg kick lands for Mada.
Mada misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A chopping leg kick lands by Mada.
Mada looks for a takedown but Nolan sprawls well.
Gajah Mada seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Nolan really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

letting Nolan counter with a right hand.
A jab from Mada does it's job there.
Nolan avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
It looked like Nolan was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Mada.

Mada closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
You can see the frustration on Nolan's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Nolan leaves Mada with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Nolan sizes up Mada with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Mada darts in and clinches Nolan up against the cage.
Mada drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Mada misses with an elbow over the top.

That was a close round but I would say that Dylan Nolan will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

The fighters circle momentarily. Mada darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Mada tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Nolan defends well and Mada ends up having to push Nolan into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
A quick step to the side and Nolan tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

and Nolan counters with a three punch combo that has Mada backing up. Mada nods at Nolan to acknowledge the strikes.

Nolan throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Mada stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Horrible takedown attempt by Mada or perhaps it was just good defense by Nolan, which made it look bad.

Nolan has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Mada is on him like a limpet, forcing Nolan back against the cage.
This has been an exciting period of action!

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
