Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Keizo Kasai!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Bryce Michel!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kasai lands a nice shot to the body.
Kasai throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Kasai paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Kasai lands with a right hand.
Kasai swinging wildly here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Michel takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Michel is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Kasai lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Michel backs up against the cage.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Kasai scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Michel gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Kasai misses with a series of wild punches.
We've been informed that Michel has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Kasai is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Kasai scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Kasai seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Kasai looks to land a combination but Michel avoids it well.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
A left lands for Kasai.
Kasai throws a right hand that Michel ducks under and follows up with a left that Michel also avoids with ease.

Kasai fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Kasai looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Kasai lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

Kasai closes the distance and clinches.

Kasai breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Michel drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Kasai throws a predictable looking body shot

and Michel counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Kasai is staying active underneath Michel, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Michel looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Michel looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.

Michel is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Kasai is staying active underneath Michel, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Michel is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Kasai sees it coming and defends easily.
Kasai makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Kasai.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Keizo Kasai dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Kasai throws a right and a left that both miss.
Kasai scores with a one two! Michel had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Keizo Kasai seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kasai connects with a nice looking jab.
Kasai digs a good body shot into Michel's ribs.
Kasai tries to bum rush Michel with a series of wild strikes but Michel uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kasai moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

Kasai lands with a shot to the body.
Kasai lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

Kasai closes the distance and pushes Michel back into the cage.
Michel is looking for a takedown.
Michel misses with a punch to the body.
Kasai working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
Kasai pushes Michel back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Michel creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Michel is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Kasai to keep the fight standing.
Kasai lands a left hand.

Michel pulls guard successfully.

Kasai is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Michel working for a triangle but Kasai defends it easily.

Kasai is sitting in close to Michel's body. Michel has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Kasai is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Kasai is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Michel.
