Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jach Bresnar (ranked 4449 p4p, 5905 weight class) and Alak Mouskal (ranked 496 p4p, 553 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Jach Bresnar has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Jach Bresnar seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Jach Bresnar! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Alak Mouskal! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Elvis Blanc and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bresnar closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Mouskal to the mat! Mouskal manages to get full guard. Mouskal controlling Bresnar's posture. Bresnar not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Bresnar advances position into side control! Bresnar cracks Mouskal with a big elbow. Bresnar working away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bresnar controls the position. Bresnar tries to move to mount but Mouskal blocks the move with his legs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mouskal tries to bench press Bresnar off him but Bresnar keeps the position. Bresnar tries to score with some ground and pound. Mouskal controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Mouskal wants to control but Bresnar postures up. Mouskal is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Bresnar is chipping away with strikes.
Bresnar happy to just control the position for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. You can see the frustration on Mouskal's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Bresnar content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Bresnar darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mouskal is controlling Bresnar's position as best he can from this difficult position. Well, if Bresnar is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Mouskal controlling the position for now. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bresnar thows a huge punch but Mouskal dodges it nicely.
Bresnar trying to control from half guard but Mouskal is working away. Bresnar perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Bresnar thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Bresnar has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Bresnar controlling the pace. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Mouskal manages to get to full guard.
Mouskal being controlled here, momentarily. Bresnar passes Mouskal's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Mouskal trying to control but Bresnar postures up.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Jach Bresnar dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Mouskal throws a big shot that misses. Bresnar tries to counter with a takedown but Mouskal is quick to defend against it. A punch lands to the side of Bresnar 's head but he takes it in his stride. Mouskal throws a lazy uppercut
and Bresnar counters with a nice double leg into guard. Bresnar slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Bresnar won't allow Mouskal to sweep him here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mouskal being controlled here, momentarily. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bresnar has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Bresnar is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Mouskal can do to turn this around?
That's one minute gone in the round. Bresnar trying to control the position from guard on top but Mouskal is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Mouskal seems keen to control Bresnar's posture. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Bresnar tries to free his leg and advance position but Mouskal is retaining full guard.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Bresnar moves into the clinch. Bresnar doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Bresnar has been working on his balance at Puncher's Chance Collective, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Mouskal. Bresnar manages to break the clinch.
Alak Mouskal is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Bresnar moves into the clinch. Bresnar wants to take the fight to the mat but Mouskal manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bresnar escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Bresnar fails with a takedown attempt. Mouskal misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Mouskal throws a body punch but Bresnar moves out of range. Bresnar feinted with a counter takedown. A looping hook to the body misses from Mouskal. Bresnar does a little dance to reset his feet. Mouskal lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Bresnar circles away quickly and effectively. Bresnar instigates a clinch. Bresnar leaning his opponent against the cage. Bresnar has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Mouskal after a bit of a struggle. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jach Bresnar. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mouskal being controlled against the cage. Bresnar turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! You can see the frustration on Mouskal's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Bresnar controlling from side mount. Bresnar wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mouskal keeps working.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bresnar staying calm. Mouskal is looking to reverse the position. Bresnar working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Bresnar controlling from side mount. Bresnar fails to land a wild elbow strike.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Jach Bresnar dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round! Mouskal falls off balance throwing a combination
and Bresnar counters with a shoot takedown. Mouskal fights it but they end up in guard. Mouskal is looking to stand back up but Bresnar counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Mouskal. Mouskal is trying to stand up here but Bresnar is controlling him well. Mouskal has hold of Bresnar's hands but Bresnar slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Bresnar is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Jach Bresnar overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Mouskal is looking to improve his position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Bresnar in particular looking to stall. Mouskal controlling the position well.

Mouskal avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Bresnar. Bresnar postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Mouskal to stand up. Bresnar ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Bresnar moves out of range of the strikes. Bresnar tries to score a power double leg takedown but Mouskal sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Bresnar somewhat. Mouskal throws a counter combo.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Mouskal misses with a jab, cross combination.
A cross from Mouskal lands. Bresnar closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Mouskal is pressed up against the cage. Bresnar has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Mouskal down to the mat. Mouskal avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Mouskal throws a body shot but no joy. Mouskal throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Bresnar on the side of the head. Bresnar drives through and clinches with Mouskal against the cage.
Bresnar has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Mouskal after a bit of a struggle. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jach Bresnar. That's going to take a lot out of him. Bresnar breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Bresnar gets in close and instigates a clinch. Bresnar avoiding damage.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Bresnar takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Bresnar seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression.

Bresnar effectively controlling the action here. Bresnar throws a punch but it's blocked by Mouskal. Jach Bresnar is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. A short left from Bresnar.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bresnar prevents Mouskal from breaking the clinch. Mouskal letting Bresnar take a breather here. Bresnar tries a body shot but Mouskal blocks it.

Bresnar tries to pull guard but Mouskal won't allow it.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Bresnar fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Mouskal has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
And that's the end of the fight! Jach Bresnar showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Bresnar, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
