Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jacob Parker (ranked 181 p4p, 975 weight class) and Rogerio Duarte (ranked 31 p4p, 146 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Bruno Hogan and Ron Honeybunn.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Parker gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Duarte takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Duarte misses with a jab to the body
and Parker counters with a nice uppercut.
Parker checks a leg kick nicely.
Duarte swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Parker throws a sloppy head kick
and Duarte counters with a stiff right hand.

We've been informed that Duarte has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Duarte misses the shot to the body.
Parker swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
The fighters circling - Duarte throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Parker drops Duarte with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Duarte looks back up at him and smiles so Parker waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Duarte is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Duarte tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Parker was well out of range. Poor timing from Duarte.
Parker checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.

and Duarte counters with an inside leg kick.
Duarte blocks a head kick by Parker.
Duarte throws a nice outside leg kick.
Duarte doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Parker blocks the body kick.
A counter left hand to the body from Parker misses its target.
Duarte throws a leg kick
and Parker counters with a powerful cross that connects right on the chin and the lights go out! A massive one punch knock out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jacob Parker!

Jacob Parker decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
