Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Marvon Walker (ranked 3075 p4p, 25168 weight class) and Rodrigo Dias (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Marvon Walker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rodrigo Dias !
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Jonathan Paton and Russell Pearce.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dias scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Dias throws a big shot that misses.
Dias dives in and grabs Walker's left leg, looking for a takedown. Walker pushes down on Dias 's head and hops out.
Dias explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Dias is trying hard to land a takedown here. Walker sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Dias tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Walker manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

and Walker counters by moving into the clinch.
Marvon Walker has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rodrigo Dias .

Dias pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Dias pushes Walker up against the cage in a clinch.

Walker tightens his grip and picks Dias up, before dumping him to the ground. Dias manages to land in guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Dias utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Walker knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Dias on the ground.
Walker postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Walker stands up from Dias 's guard - Walker perhaps looking for a knockout.

Walker has managed to clinch.

Walker breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Walker looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Dias avoids the head kick by Walker.
Dias is looking for the big counter here.
Dias tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Walker manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Walker closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Dias 's guard.
Walker throwing strikes but missing.
Walker is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Walker won't allow Dias to sweep him here.
Walker trying to control the position from guard on top but Dias is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dias wants to sweep here but Walker controlling him for the moment.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Walker is looking to advance position but Dias has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Walker wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.
Dias controlling well, preventing Walker from escaping the position.
Walker wants to escape the position but for the time being he's just trying to control the pace.

Walker is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Dias gets his way!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Walker rolls, trying to escape but Dias keeps control of the position.

Walker bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Dias bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
The fight stays on the outside here - Dias looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Dias is trying to keep Walker in close.

Walker postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Rodrigo Dias has got the better of the ground game so far.

Walker makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Walker decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Dias , up you get!

Walker shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Dias 's guard.

Dias might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Walker haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Walker wants to sweep but no luck.
Walker is working hard here to advance position.
Walker is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Dias is controlling him.
Dias is fighting to break Walker's control of his arms but Walker is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Marvon Walker is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Walker gets tackled into the cage by Dias . Dias maintains the clinch.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Walker has Dias pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Walker pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Dias tumbling to the mat - Walker dives into Dias 's guard.
Walker is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Dias seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Walker lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Dias seems keen to control Walker's posture.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Marvon Walker will probably get the nod.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Walker displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Dias .

Dias has his feet on Walker's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
A solid leg kick lands there for Dias .

Dias gets caught napping as Walker dives in and scores a takedown. Dias manages to retain guard.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Dias manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Walker gets underhooks to prevent Dias 's takedown attempt.
Dias takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Walker manages to break the clinch.
Walker leaves Dias with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Marvon Walker has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rodrigo Dias .

Walker scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Dias is looking to escape.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Walker's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Dias is looking for a sweep. Walker is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Walker stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Dias to get to his feet.

Walker shoots in and bounces Dias off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Walker stands and steps away. Dias gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Walker escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Walker shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Dias eats them both and turns towards Walker to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Walker looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Dias !

Dias tries to bench press Walker off him but Walker keeps the position.
Walker in side control lands a decent elbow.
Dias is looking for a sweep.
Walker trying to control the position but Dias is working away.
You can see the frustration on Dias 's face as Walker controls the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Walker decides to stand up, so the ref orders Dias to his feet.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Walker decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Marvon Walker showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Walker has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
