Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Maximo Costa (ranked 5023 p4p, 5997 weight class) and Christopher Nibbs (ranked 595 p4p, 632 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Christopher Nibbs was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Frank Dennis and George Francis.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Nibbs has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Costa crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Nibbs - the referee stops the clock and Costa gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Nibbs. Costa manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Costa, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
