Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Genji Kamogawa (ranked 1361 p4p, 24144 weight class) and Guy Neer (ranked 80 p4p, 287 weight class). Kamogawa's entrance music is The Veer Union - Bitter End. A fine choice. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Genji Kamogawa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Guy Neer! The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Dirk Anderson and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Neer misses with a hook to the body
enabling Kamogawa to counter with a crisp jab. A punch lands to the side of Neer 's head but he takes it in his stride. Neer throws a hook but Kamogawa blocks it. Nice defenses there by Neer. Kamogawa moves into range and clinches up with Neer. Kamogawa gets through Neer's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Kamogawa lands a right hand. A right handed body shot lands from Kamogawa.

Kamogawa decides to pull guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Kamogawa tries to land a sweep but no joy. Neer drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Kamogawa dives on top into guard.
Kamogawa definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Kamogawa is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kamogawa sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Neer's guard. Kamogawa is taking a breather. Neer says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Neer looks like he's trying to stand up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Kamogawa connects with a nice short shot to Neer's temple. Neer is trying to escape back to his feet but Kamogawa uses the scramble to pass into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kamogawa has knee on belly and moves into mount. Neer really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kamogawa. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. BOOM! Kamogawa connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Kamogawa tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Neer wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kamogawa throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Neer because Kamogawa loaded up on that one. Kamogawa with the ground and pound from mount. Kamogawa sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Kamogawa throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Neer's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Kamogawa takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Kamogawa has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Neer is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neer wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Kamogawa.

Genji Kamogawa dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Kamogawa throws a hook but Neer blocks it. Kamogawa has managed to clinch.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Kamogawa. Kamogawa lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Neer or not. A frustrated look appears on Neer's face as he tries to break the clinch. Kamogawa digs a right hand into Neer's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Neer's gas tank. Kamogawa prevents Neer from breaking the clinch. Kamogawa lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Kamogawa digs a right hand underneath Neer's ribcage. Neer let out a lung full of air as it connected. A short right hand to the side of the head by Kamogawa. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Kamogawa creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Neer's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Neer has tried to improve his agility in the runup to this fight. Neer tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Kamogawa manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Kamogawa connects with a single shot there. Kamogawa darts in and clinches Neer up against the cage. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kamogawa lands a body punch. Kamogawa scores with a hook to the body. Kamogawa is leaning against Neer and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Neer is breathing heavily. Kamogawa pulls Neer into guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kamogawa manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Neer manages to get himself to full guard.
Neer working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Kamogawa. Kamogawa pushing down on Neer's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Neer is in trouble now - Kamogawa has advanced to mount! Genji Kamogawa overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Neer really wants to buck Kamogawa off and get back to his feet. Kamogawa lands a couple of good shots and Neer has given up his back, trying to escape the position! Kamogawa is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neer is trying to stand back up. Kamogawa is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
Kamogawa is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Kamogawa gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Kamogawa gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Kamogawa apologises and we restart here on the feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kamogawa misses with a straight right. Kamogawa swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Neer. Neer throws an off balance right hand
and Kamogawa counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Neer lands a head shot. Some wild striking there from Neer.
Kamogawa throwing a counter right hand but Neer manages to avoid it. Kamogawa darts in and clinches Neer up against the cage. Kamogawa is working Neer over against the cage. Nice body punch from Kamogawa - that landed with a thud.
Kamogawa lands a right hand that snaps the head of Neer backwards. Kamogawa lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Neer backwards. Neer is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Still in the clinch, Kamogawa scores with a nice short uppercut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kamogawa manages to pull guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kamogawa is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Kamogawa seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Neer tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Kamogawa manages to move to mount!

Genji Kamogawa dominated that second round. That's time! Kamogawa's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round! Neer slips under a jab from Kamogawa. Kamogawa jabbing away but nothing is landing. Neer ducks under a wild hook from Kamogawa. Kamogawa swinging wildly here.
Kamogawa has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Guy Neer is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Kamogawa blocks a low kick nicely. Kamogawa clinches up against the cage. A right hook to the body lands for Kamogawa.
Neer is looking to break free of the clinch but Kamogawa has double underhooks. Kamogawa pulls guard successfully.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kamogawa controlling Neer's posture. Kamogawa looking to hit a scissor sweep but Neer is one step ahead there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Neer looking to sit in guard and control but Kamogawa gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Kamogawa looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Kamogawa slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Kamogawa cracks Neer with a big elbow.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here as Kamogawa stalls from top position. Kamogawa is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Neer can do to turn this around? Neer pushes Kamogawa away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Kamogawa gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Kamogawa in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Neer is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Neer is looking to get back to his feet here but Kamogawa is keeping cool and he's managed to take Neer's back.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kamogawa is riding his opponent, not letting Neer buck him off. Neer wants to get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Neer is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.

Kamogawa really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Neer. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Kamogawa continues to stall.
And that's the end of the fight! Genji Kamogawa showed his dominance in that final round. Well Kamogawa has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
