Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jose Galvao (ranked 1429 p4p, 2669 weight class) and Rhys Hughs (ranked 221 p4p, 386 weight class). Galvao's entrance music is Ye - Burna Boy. A fine choice. Rhys Hughs has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jose Galvao! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Rhys Hughs! The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Sandra Marshall and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hughs misses with the combination.
Hughs tries a head kick but it misses.
Hughs misses with a double jab.
Hughs throws a series of punches but Galvao moves out of range. Hughs throws a series of strikes that have Galvao backpedaling.
Hughs tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Hughs swinging wildly here.
Galvao is looking to counter the offense by Hughs and move into the clinch. Hughs throws a combination that misses and Galvao counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Galvao. Hughs is trying to maintain a safe position but Galvao gets an underhook and turns Hughs into the cage. Galvao decides to pull guard. Galvao wants to sweep here but Hughs controlling him for the moment. Galvao has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. Galvao looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Hughs really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Galvao. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's one minute gone in the round. Galvao is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Hughs told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet. Hughs is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Galvao has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Hughs is looking to defend but Galvao has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Hughs! Galvao pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Hughs taps out and this one is all over!
