Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Greek Salad (ranked 3154 p4p, 4690 weight class) and Alex Mikan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Greek Salad! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Alex Mikan! The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Paulsen Ambrosius and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mikan tries to score a power double leg takedown but Salad sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Mikan somewhat. Mikan instigates a clinch. Salad wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Mikan as Salad tries to tie him up. Salad tries to pull guard but Mikan forces him back to his feet, against the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mikan landing knees to the head.

That's one minute gone in the round. Mikan manages to pull guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Salad trying to stand up but can't free himself from Mikan's guard.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Mikan has closed the distance and engaged Salad in a clinch.
Mikan jumps guard but Salad turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Greek Salad has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alex Mikan. Salad is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Mikan pulls him back up using the underhooks. Salad trying to stall but Mikan improves his position.
Mikan works on Salad's body with a couple of short punches. Mikan pulls guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Salad wants to stand but Mikan is controlling his posture from full guard. Salad stopping the sweep attempt from Mikan. Mikan avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Salad wants to control from the top but Mikan keeps moving. Salad has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Salad is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Salad throws a jab when Mikan was well out of range. Salad looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Mikan! Mikan explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! Salad will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Salad dives in for a single leg takedown but Mikan sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Salad is trying to pull guard but Mikan has him pressed against the cage. Salad jumps guard but Mikan stands there with Salad around his waist. Salad gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Alex Mikan dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Mikan looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Salad is fending him off so far but Mikan persists. Nope, Salad circles away and we're back to standing. Salad gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Mikan counters with an outside leg kick.
Both fighters circling a little - Mikan finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Mikan defending well as Salad loads up on a big left hand. Salad has a takedown stuffed. Mikan shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Salad leaves Mikan with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Salad drives through with a takedown into guard. Salad forces his way into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Salad scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Mikan is looking for a sweep. Salad is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Salad looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Salad thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Mikan is staying active underneath Salad, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Salad is thwarting Mikan's attempts to control the position. Salad takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Salad passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Mikan! Salad controlling his opponent. Mikan is looking to get to half guard. Mikan has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Mikan tries to hold on but Salad pushes him away. Salad controlling his opponent. Salad working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Salad wants to control the pace but Mikan is squirming around nicely. Mikan tries to get back to half guard but can't. Mikan blocking the ground and pound. Salad goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Mikan turns into him and now he's in Salad's guard.
Salad not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mikan postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Salad wants to stand up but Mikan is controlling him. Salad striking off his back but it's not causing Mikan any problems. Salad looking for a sweep. Not yet Salad, not yet. Mikan trying to control but Salad is working from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mikan stands and throws Salad's legs to the side, diving into side control. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Salad is looking for a sweep. Mikan cracks Salad with a big elbow. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Greek Salad will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Mikan has Salad pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Salad manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Salad is trying to drag Mikan to the mat but Mikan just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Salad is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Mikan pulls him back up using the underhooks. Mikan's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Salad stuffs the takedown. Mikan looks for a takedown but Salad sprawls well. Greek Salad has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alex Mikan. Mikan fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Mikan takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Salad throws a hook but Mikan avoids it easily. Salad tries to clinch but Mikan is having none of it. Mikan shoots in but no luck this time. Salad moves in looking to clinch but Mikan pushes him off. Salad slaps away a takedown attempt from Mikan, before circling back to the center of the mat. Salad throws a series of punches but Mikan avoids them all with ease. Mikan closes the distance and clinches up with Salad, looking for a takedown. Mikan pushes Salad against the cage but Salad circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Salad is looking to clinch but Mikan is avoiding it.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Mikan enables Salad to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Mikan manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Salad not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Salad throws a big right hand that misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Salad is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Salad has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Salad is looking to stand up but Mikan won't let him. Salad wants to pass the guard but Mikan is keeping the position. Salad engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Salad stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mikan swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Salad fails with an attempt to clinch.
Salad looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Mikan won't allow Salad to pass to mount. Salad seems to be working for a kimura but Mikan defends the submission attempt. Salad is working for a submission of some sort.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Salad throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Salad seems to be looking for submissions.
Salad sitting and controlling from the half guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
And that's the end of the fight! Greek Salad showed his dominance in that final round. I think Salad has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
