Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Perry Platypus (ranked 3457 p4p, 4842 weight class) and Lachlan Brodie (ranked 452 p4p, 551 weight class). Brodie is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Mama We're All Crazee Now/ Slade. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Platypus moves into range and clinches up with Brodie.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Platypus jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Brodie walks away with a smile on his face. Platypus gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Platypus takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Brodie dips a shoulder and cracks Platypus with a mighty uppercut! Platypus falls back against the cage and Brodie unloads with a barrage of strikes! Platypus is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Brodie screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

Lachlan Brodie was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
