Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Squeaky Sneakers (ranked 347 p4p, 269 weight class) and Kazuo Takashi (ranked 38 p4p, 30 weight class). Takashi has chosen 吉田兄弟 Rising as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Squeaky Sneakers! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 9 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kazuo Takashi! The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Sandra Marshall and Winston Alpacca.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sneakers swings widly with a right hand
and Takashi decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Sneakers's guard. Takashi postures up.
Takashi trying to control the position from guard on top but Sneakers is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Sneakers has Takashi pulled in close to control his posture. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sneakers keeping moving, preventing Takashi from controlling successfully. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sneakers is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Takashi has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Island project. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one. Takashi manages to get to full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sneakers missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Takashi trying to control the position.
Sneakers working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Takashi's head. Sneakers makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Sneakers stays in close to Takashi's body and controls the position. Sneakers throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Takashi works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Takashi has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Sneakers can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sneakers content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Takashi has locked up a guillotine! Takashi's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Sneakers is holding on here and Takashi must be using up a lot of energy. Sneakers has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Takashi gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Kazuo Takashi! Kazuo Takashi is the new featherweight champion! An out of breath Kazuo Takashi thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
