Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Norman Goreman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Mayhew (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the super heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Norman Goreman!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Peter Mayhew!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Colin Fotheringham and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Mayhew does no damage.
Mayhew shoots in looking for a takedown. Goreman tries to sprawl out of it but Mayhew keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Goreman manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Goreman could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Mayhew throws a right and a left that Goreman avoids nicely.
Goreman dodges the punch combination from Mayhew.

Mayhew closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Goreman to the mat! Goreman manages to get full guard.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Goreman looking for a guillotine here but Mayhew defends easily.
Goreman manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Mayhew manages to get himself to full guard.
Goreman wants to control from the top but Mayhew keeps moving.

Goreman is really struggling to control Mayhew but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Goreman missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Goreman accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Mayhew keeping moving, preventing Goreman from controlling successfully.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Mayhew throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Goreman's waist but Goreman gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Mayhew off to one side.
Norman Goreman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Peter Mayhew.

Mayhew drives through with a takedown into guard.
Goreman has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Mayhew looks gassed!

Mayhew gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Goreman closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Goreman seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Goreman seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Mayhew does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Goreman looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Mayhew tries to roll over but Goreman keeps him under control.
Goreman prevents Mayhew from standing back up.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Goreman seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Mayhew does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Mayhew wants to get back to his feet.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
No joy there for Mayhew, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Mayhew moves in looking to clinch but Goreman pushes him off.
Goreman dodges the punch combination from Mayhew.
Mayhew misses with a wild combination.

Goreman changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Mayhew looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
You can see the frustration on Mayhew's face as Goreman controls the position.
Goreman tries to score with some ground and pound. Mayhew controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Mayhew takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.

Goreman wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Mayhew, who protects the arm well.

Goreman working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Goreman in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Mayhew is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
