Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Guilherme Godoi (ranked 187 p4p, 784 weight class) and Trent Punchy (ranked 27 p4p, 121 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Guilherme Godoi!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Trent Punchy!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Winston Alpacca and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Godoi blocks a leg kick.
A little feinted left hand from Godoi on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Punchy throws a leg kick but Godoi checks it.
Punchy throws a poor cross that misses
and Punchy takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
A low kick from Punchy misses
enabling Godoi to counter with a crisp jab.
Punchy looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Punchy shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Godoi counters with a crisp right hand that drops Punchy! Godoi lets Punchy back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
It looks like Trent Punchy has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Punchy swings widly with a right hand
and Godoi counters with a huge left! Punchy is in big trouble! He's backing up but Godoi isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Punchy from any more damage. A dominating finish by Godoi!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Guilherme Godoi!
After winning the bout, Guilherme Godoi thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
