Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sonatane Veainu (ranked 277 p4p, 572 weight class) and Doraku Niten (ranked 49 p4p, 83 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Sonatane Veainu!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Doraku Niten!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Bart Greer and Peter Branson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Niten shoots in for a takedown but Veainu shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
The fighters circling - Veainu throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Niten throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Veainu tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Niten is in Veainu's guard.
Veainu has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Niten has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
Veainu lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Niten is looking to take this one to the mat.

Niten shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Veainu's guard.

Niten is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
Veainu just trying to survive but Niten is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.

A close round but Doraku Niten will probably get the nod.
That's time! Veainu's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Niten tries to close the distance and clinch but Veainu swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Veainu on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Veainu tries to get out of the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Veainu wants to control the position but Niten says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Niten is trying to work for a kimura but Veainu is defending well.
Niten is nestled in close to Veainu, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Niten is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Veainu defends it well.
Niten thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Veainu's head.
Niten winds up and cracks Veainu with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Niten moves into full mount! Veainu won't be happy about that!
Niten has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Veainu wants to control but Niten is having none of it.

Veainu knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Niten on the ground.

Niten fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Doraku Niten showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Niten moves in looking to clinch but Veainu pushes him off.
Veainu definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

A little feinted left hand from Veainu on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Veainu circles away before darting back in with a big straight right hand. It connects beautifully and sends Niten tumbling to the canvas! He's out cold! Veainu wins by KO!
