Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 6 - 1, fighting out of The Island, Marcus Behnder!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 6 - 1, fighting out of The Island, Zhang Wei!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Michael Johnstone and Santiago Holmes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wei throws a one two combo.

It looks like Marcus Behnder has been cut.
Wei scores with a three punch combo!

Behnder is rocked!
Wei throws a hook but Behnder avoids it easily.
Oh Behnder is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Behnder definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Wei throws out a loose jab but Behnder uses good head movement to avoid it.
Behnder half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Behnder looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Wei's coach down at Cozad The Island was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Wei's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Behnder is trying hard to land a takedown here. Wei sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Despite the aggression on Wei's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Behnder seems to have got his legs back now.

Behnder moves into the clinch.

Behnder gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Wei regains guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Behnder drops back looking for a leg! Wei is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Wei manages to kick Behnder off! Behnder jumps back into Wei's guard.
Wei really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Behnder. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Wei pulls Behnder in close to his closed guard and prevents Behnder from doing any damage or advancing position.
Wei is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Wei not landing any meaningful shots this time.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Wei lands a nice short elbow.
Behnder wants to get back to full guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Wei wants to control but Behnder is keeping him busy.
Wei is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Behnder is looking to control Wei's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Behnder avoid being mounted?
Behnder wants to improve his position but Wei is controlling well.
Wei missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.

Wei throws a strike but Behnder manages to get a kimura sweep and he's found himself on top with the kimura half locked in! This would be a real turnaround! He's torquing it... Will Wei tap??? YES! He's tapped! This one is all over!
