Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Matthew Quigley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jhonny Boy!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Sandra Marshall and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Quigley throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Boy sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Boy shoots in for a takedown but Quigley shows good takedown defense.
A telegraphed right hand from Quigley misses the target.
Boy feints a counter leg kick.
Quigley drops Boy with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Boy looks back up at him and smiles so Quigley waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Boy is rocked!
It looks like Jhonny Boy has been cut.
Quigley weaves into range and cracks Boy right on the temple with a beautiful overhand right! Boy goes down! He's out cold! Wow, what a beautiful knockout! Quigley is strutting round the canvas like a movie star as the camera bulbs flash frantically.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Matthew Quigley!
