PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Paddy Mcgillicutty (ranked 481 p4p, 861 weight class) and Tyler Alvarez (ranked 66 p4p, 117 weight class). Mcgillicutty comes to the cage accompanied by Armin van Buuren - Blahblahblah. Tyler Alvarez is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alvarez misses with an uppercut
and Mcgillicutty counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Alvarez with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Paddy Mcgillicutty seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mcgillicutty throws a shot from downtown. Alvarez moves away and avoids it.
The fighters circling - Mcgillicutty throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Mcgillicutty enables Alvarez to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Mcgillicutty manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Alvarez stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mcgillicutty swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Paddy Mcgillicutty spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
