The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Montgomery Jr blocks a head kick by Jordone.
Sloppy strikes from Montgomery Jr . Those never looked like landing.
Montgomery Jr is breathing heavily.
Montgomery Jr slaps away a takedown attempt from Jordone, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Montgomery Jr lands a lovely overhand right.
Montgomery Jr avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Jordone shoots in but no luck this time.
Montgomery Jr swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.

Corderra Montgomery Jr has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Parrish Jordone.
Montgomery Jr throws out a leg kick but Jordone moves out of range and Montgomery Jr only half commits.

Montgomery Jr throws a front kick aimed at Jordone's knee but Jordone avoids it well.

As Jordone looks to move away, Montgomery Jr throws a big counter combo but Jordone just gets out of the way.

Montgomery Jr looks to land a right hand but Jordone moved out of range.
And Jordone tries to counter it with a takedown but Montgomery Jr pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Jordone shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Montgomery Jr manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Jordone might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Montgomery Jr haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
