Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Misalchicha Montreal ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Joseph Johnson! The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, David Hoff and Peter Branson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnson has managed to clinch.
Montreal tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Johnson just stands there and leans against the cage. Johnson jumps guard but Montreal stands there with Johnson around his waist. Johnson gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Montreal jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Johnson walks away with a smile on his face. Montreal gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Montreal gets tackled into the cage by Johnson. Johnson maintains the clinch. Montreal manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Montreal could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Montreal is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Johnson is aware though and is defending well. Montreal looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Montreal looking for a sweep. Not yet Montreal , not yet. Montreal is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Montreal has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Johnson doesn't defend quickly enough and Montreal has managed to lock this one up! Can Johnson escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Montreal on a fantastic submission victory.
