Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Randy King (ranked 4735 p4p, 5900 weight class) and Brad Beaver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brad Beaver has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Randy King!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 8 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Brad Beaver!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Daniel Franklin and Peter Branson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beaver looks for a takedown but King sprawls well.

King fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Beaver, pushing him back against the cage.

King gets control of Beaver's arms and successfully pulls guard. King will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
King really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

King is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

King is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Beaver is aware though and is defending well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
King is trying to control the position from the bottom.

King is looking to stand up but Beaver isn't so interested in that idea.
King is adopting a defensive guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Beaver wants to control from the top but King keeps moving.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Beaver tries to keep at a distance but King has taken the fight into the clinch.
King is trying to pull guard but Beaver turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
A body shot lands from King.

King breaks the clinch.
King tries for a takedown but Beaver circles away easily
and Beaver counters with a straight right hand.
Beaver looks winded!
Beaver defends well against a solid takedown attempt from King.

King closes this distance looking for a takedown but Beaver circles away.
Beaver shapes to counter with a head kick.
King has his takedown stuffed

and Beaver counters by moving into the clinch.
King tries to pull guard but Beaver forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

King drags the fight down to the ground.
King will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Beaver passes King's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

King is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Beaver pulls his head out easily.

Beaver is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Beaver wants to work for an arm triangle but King is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Beaver is trying to control. King wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
King desperately trying to maintain half guard.
Beaver is trying to control the action in half guard but King is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
King moves in looking to clinch but Beaver pushes him off.
Beaver displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from King.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Randy King will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

King tries to close the distance and clinch but Beaver swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

King is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

King's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Beaver lands with a kick to the temple. King shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Beaver looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Nice takedown defense from King. No joy for Beaver on that attempt.
Beaver closes the distance and clinches up with King, looking for a takedown. Beaver pushes King against the cage but King circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Beaver is breathing heavily.
King shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Beaver pinned against the cage. Beaver gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

King misses with a head kick.
King fails with a takedown attempt.
Beaver tries to clinch but King moves out of range.

King manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Beaver on his heels. He'll look to pass Beaver's guard now, I'm sure.
King is standing up over Beaver. Beaver looks to escape but King dives into side control.

King wants to control but Beaver is keeping him busy.
Beaver tries to improve position but can't.

King decides to stand back up. King steps back and let's Beaver get back to his feet.
No joy there for King, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Beaver stuffs the takedown.
King turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
King lands with a good body shot.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
King bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Beaver's head backwards.
King lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

A looping hook to the body misses from Beaver. King does a little dance to reset his feet.
Beaver uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by King.
Nice takedown defense from Beaver. No joy for King on that attempt.
Beaver appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.
Beaver fails with the takedown
and King counters with a three punch combo that has Beaver backing up. Beaver nods at King to acknowledge the strikes.
Beaver shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and King counters with a left and a right that stings Beaver.
King dives in for a single leg takedown but Beaver sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Beaver is stalling here.
Beaver fails to pull guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
King throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
King with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.

King pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
A head kick misses from Beaver.

King gets in close and instigates a clinch.

King breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
King doesn't manage to clinch there - Beaver circles away.
King fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
King misses with a body kick.
Beaver misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Randy King dominated that second round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

King throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Horrible takedown attempt by King or perhaps it was just good defense by Beaver, which made it look bad.
King tries to score a power double leg takedown but Beaver sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten King somewhat.
King circles away from the clinch attempt.

King sets himself, and Beaver steps forward looking for the clinch! King avoids it this time.

Beaver lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

A good leg kick by Beaver.
Beaver tries to close the distance and clinch up but King swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Beaver pushes King away with a front kick.
King tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
King shoots and misses
and Beaver counters with a big head kick but King shrugs it off.
Beaver misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Beaver connects with an inside leg kick.

King clinches.

King tries for a takedown but Beaver manages to get underhooks.
King tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Beaver prevents the takedown attempt.
King is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
King has had enough of the clinch but Beaver keeps him there for the moment.
Beaver is trying to pull guard but King has him pressed against the cage.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
