Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jordan Badada!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Igor Prikhodko and Valeri Chadov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martinyuk lands a jab to the nose.
Martinyuk throws a good cross that connects.
Martinyuk has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Badada takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Martinyuk dips to his left and cracks Badada with an uppercut!
Martinyuk connects with a good right hand that stumbles Badada. Badada circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Decent striking displayed by Martinyuk there.
Badada takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Martinyuk fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Badada looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Badada shoots for a takedown but Martinyuk saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
A counter left hand to the body from Martinyuk misses its target.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Badada fails with the takedown
and Martinyuk counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Leonid Martinyuk seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Badada tries a head kick but it misses.
Badada tries to score a power double leg takedown but Martinyuk sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Badada somewhat.
Leonid Martinyuk has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jordan Badada.

Martinyuk thuds his right hand into Badada's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Badada on the wrong end of a nice hook.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Badada.
Badada takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Badada takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Martinyuk lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Good standup being displayed there by Martinyuk as he connects with a hook.
Badada steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Martinyuk. That one must have hurt.
Martinyuk clobbers Badada with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Badada is rocked!
Martinyuk cracks Badada with a hook to the temple - Badada is on wobbly legs here! Martinyuk swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Badada falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Martinyuk wins by TKO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Leonid Martinyuk!
