The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Boston has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Hitters in the buildup to the fight.
Son throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Boston throws a jab when Son was well out of range.
Son throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Son moves out of range of the strikes.

Boston uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Son.

Boston tries to sprawl but Son drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Boston is looking to control Son's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Boston avoid being mounted?

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Son working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Boston is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Son really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Boston. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Son is staying active underneath Boston, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Boston connects with a good right hand that stumbles Son. Son circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Brent Boston is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Son cracks Boston with an open hand slap.
A slow jab from Boston misses its intended target.
Boston is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Boston falls off balance throwing a combination
enabling Son to counter with a crisp jab.
Boston throws a shot from downtown. Son moves away and avoids it.
Son doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Son throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Son takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Son is rocked!
Son circles to his right, straight into a beautiful hook by Boston. Son falls face first into the canvas - great knockout victory for Boston!
