Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Somebody (ranked 3905 p4p, 1657 weight class) and Gul Dukat (ranked 485 p4p, 239 weight class). Somebody comes to the cage accompanied by America, Fuck Yeah!. Dukat has chosen Guillotine (Swordz) as his entrance music. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Johnny Somebody!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gul Dukat!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dukat throws a jab but it's blocked by Somebody.
Somebody feints and then cracks Dukat's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Dukat down.
We've been hearing reports that Somebody has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Somebody misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Dukat misses with a wild body shot.
Sloppy strikes from Somebody. Those never looked like landing.
Dukat works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Dukat lands a nice shot to the body.
Somebody throws a right hand that Dukat ducks under and follows up with a left that Dukat also avoids with ease.
Somebody fails in his attempt to clinch.
And Dukat tries to counter it with a takedown but Somebody pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Somebody bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Johnny Somebody seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dukat dodges the punch combination from Somebody.
Dukat shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Dukat showed some decent athleticism there.

Dukat looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Somebody is avoiding damage well.
Somebody is looking for a sweep.

Somebody is not content to let Dukat control the position.
Somebody parries the strikes from Dukat easily there. Dukat is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Somebody to escape.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Dukat tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Dukat has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Somebody will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Dukat dips to his left and cracks Somebody with an uppercut!
Dukat darts in and clinches Somebody up against the cage.
Somebody has Dukat pushed against the cage.
Dukat gets through Somebody's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Somebody is trying to break the clinch but Dukat has him pressed against the cage.
Dukat lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Dukat swings wildly with an uppercut but Somebody uses good head movement to avoid it.
Somebody misses with a body punch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dukat tries to work over Somebody's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Somebody working hard to break the clinch.
Dukat misses with a hook to the ribs.
Dukat lands a left hand that snaps the head of Somebody backwards.
Dukat digs a right hand into Somebody's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Somebody's gas tank.
Dukat tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Somebody throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Dukats head.

Johnny Somebody is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Dukat connects with a body shot that sends Somebody's belly button to the back.
Somebody misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Somebody on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Dukat lands an overhand right.
Somebody moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Dukat lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Somebody takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Somebody lands a front kick.
Dukat cracks a nice hook into Somebody's ribs.

Somebody shoots in for a takedown but Dukat shows good takedown defense.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Somebody drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Dukat is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Dukat tests Somebody's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Dukat shoots in and bounces Somebody off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Dukat scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Somebody is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Dukat can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!

After the fight, Gul Dukat was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
