Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jacko Dawson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Uncle Abner!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Percy O'Donnell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Abner looks to land a combination. Dawson sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Abner throws a head kick but Dawson moves out of range.
Dawson blocks a head kick by Abner.
Dawson is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Abner.
Dawson fails in his attempt to clinch.
It seemed like Abner was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Dawson takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Dawson is breathing heavily.
Abner lands a big head kick that sends Dawson tumbling to the mat! Abner takes a step backwards and waves Dawson back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Dawson is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Abner batters Dawson with a massive right followed by a huge left! Dawson is out on his feet looking like a zombie as Abner lands a final crushing right hand to drop Dawson to the mat with a gruesome thud! Abner is running around like a mad man after that fight and for good reason!
