Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Pat Yaj (ranked 1960 p4p, 1603 weight class) and Seiryu Machida (ranked 290 p4p, 244 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 24 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Pat Yaj!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 10 - 4, fighting out of Las Vegas, Seiryu Machida!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Hirohito Nitta and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yaj throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Machida cracks a nice hook into Yaj's ribs.

Yaj definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Yaj throws a quick inside leg kick.

Yaj takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

and Machida counters with a good, hard body kick but Yaj shrugs it off.

Yaj fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Machida has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Machida's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.

Machida is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Yaj.

This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Yaj might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far.

A less than humble Seiryu Machida misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
In defeat, Pat Yaj stepped up to the mic, saying 'It wasn't the game plan we planned. Props to Puzo on a well deserved victory. '.
