Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Erik Friedrichsen (ranked 457 p4p, 371 weight class) and Hip Hop (ranked 71 p4p, 60 weight class). Hop is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Hard in Da Paint. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Friedrichsen throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Hop counters with a body kick.
Hop blocks a leg kick.
Hop looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Friedrichsen lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Hop fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Friedrichsen tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hop was well out of range. Poor timing from Friedrichsen.
Friedrichsen fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hop manages to avoid it.
Hop throws a fast counter high kick but Friedrichsen manages to duck under it in time.
Friedrichsen connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Hop's hands.

Friedrichsen throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Hop on the side of the head.

and Hop counters with a nice low kick that buckles Friedrichsen's knee momentarily.

Hop throws a hook but Friedrichsen avoids it easily.

Hop sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Friedrichsen uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Hop.
Friedrichsen looks to throw the jab but Hop is out of range.

Hop fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Friedrichsen manages to avoid it.

Friedrichsen uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Hop has time to react.
Friedrichsen has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Alpha Brasil in the buildup to the fight.

Erik Friedrichsen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Hop counters with a huge left! Friedrichsen is in big trouble! He's backing up but Hop isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Friedrichsen from any more damage. A dominating finish by Hop!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Hip Hop!
After the fight, Hip Hop was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
Erik Friedrichsen was interviewed post fight and said 'I am young. This is merely a slight delay'.
