Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jeremy Clarkson (ranked 4602 p4p, 4460 weight class) and Casius Laizel (ranked 568 p4p, 557 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Jeremy Clarkson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Casius Laizel!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Tiny Johnson and Alan Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clarkson throws a combination. Laizel tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

Laizel gets tackled into the cage by Clarkson. Clarkson maintains the clinch.
Clarkson has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Clarkson wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Laizel has him pressed against the cage.

Clarkson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Clarkson clinches with his opponent.
Clarkson looking to throw knees to the head but Laizel is blocking nicely.
Clarkson has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Laizel avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Clarkson tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Clarkson changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Laizel fights it off and pushes away nicely.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jeremy Clarkson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Clarkson tries for a takedown but Laizel sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Clarkson misses with a takedown attempt - Laizel sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Clarkson goes for a double leg but Laizel avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Laizel continues to drive forward.

Laizel is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Clarkson can't fight it off and eventually Laizel manages to take the fight to the floor. Clarkson looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Laizel controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Laizel's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Clarkson is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Laizel is controlling him.
Laizel pushes down on Clarkson's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Clarkson wants to control but Laizel is keeping busy.

Laizel is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Clarkson defends it well.
Laizel winds up and cracks Clarkson with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Well, if Laizel is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Laizel in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Clarkson tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Laizel!
