Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kyle Newheart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryu Hyabusa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Ryu Hyabusa was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ryu Hyabusa! The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Seu Braga and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Newheart tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Newheart uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Hyabusa. Kyle Newheart seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hyabusa staying out of range there. Newheart fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Newheart swinging wilding here.
Newheart moves into the clinch successfully.
Hyabusa is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Hyabusa wants to get back to striking at distance but Newheart won't allow it.
Hyabusa gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Newheart.
Hyabusa's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Hyabusa takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Newheart fails with an attempt to clinch.
Newheart throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Hyabusa sees it coming and avoids it easily. Newheart is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Good standup being displayed there by Hyabusa as he connects with a hook.
It looks like Kyle Newheart has been cut. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Newheart tries to clinch but Hyabusa moves out of range. Hyabusa lands with a hook. Newheart tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Newheart tries to clinch up. Hyabusa falls off balance throwing a combination
and Newheart holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hyabusa tries to break the clinch but Newheart is controlling the position. Newheart trying to control the position but instead, Hyabusa has worked for underhooks and has pushed Newheart into the cage. Hyabusa tries to break the clinch but Newheart is controlling the position. A body shot lands from Newheart.
Newheart pushes Hyabusa back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Hyabusa is looking to break free of the clinch but Newheart has double underhooks. Hyabusa wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Newheart keeps control of Hyabusa as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Hyabusa escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Hyabusa throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Ryu Hyabusa is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Newheart throws a head kick that Hyabusa semi-blocks.
Newheart looks to score with a jab to the body but Hyabusa is just out of range. Newheart wants to clinch up but Hyabusa keeps it at a distance. A slow jab from Hyabusa misses its intended target. A telegraphed right hand from Hyabusa misses the target. Newheart scores with a sloppy right hand. Hyabusa should have avoided that one. Newheart moves into the clinch. Hyabusa has had enough of the clinch but Newheart keeps him there for the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Newheart lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Hyabusa backwards. Newheart misses with a hook from the clinch. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Newheart takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Newheart tries to land knees in the clinch but Hyabusa avoids the damage to the body. Hyabusa wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Hyabusa breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Hyabusa avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Newheart tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Hyabusa paws at him with a jab and circles away. Newheart closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Hyabusa is trying to break the clinch but Newheart has him pressed against the cage. Hyabusa is trying to break free. Hyabusa is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Hyabusa wants to get back to striking at distance but Newheart won't allow it.
Hyabusa is pressed up against the cage. Newheart has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Hyabusa down to the mat. Hyabusa avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Newheart moves in looking to clinch but Hyabusa pushes him off. Hyabusa misses with a two punch combination.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Hyabusa throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Newheart. Excellent takedown into side control there by Newheart. Newheart is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Hyabusa knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Hyabusa is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Newheart has just dragged him back down to the mat. Newheart is trying to get an arm triangle but Hyabusa is defending well. Hyabusa wants to get back to his feet but Newheart is dominant here and he's now got Hyabusa's back! Hyabusa preventing the rear naked choke attempt from Newheart.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hyabusa is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. Hyabusa fending off the submission attempt from Newheart. Newheart is breathing heavily. Hyabusa has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke. Hyabusa covering up well and avoiding damage. Hyabusa trying to get back to his feet but Newheart is in full control for now. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Hyabusa preventing the rear naked choke attempt from Newheart. Newheart is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Hyabusa defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hyabusa throws a right hand that Newheart ducks under and follows up with a left that Newheart also avoids with ease. Hyabusa lands a jab to the nose. Hyabusa drops his hands momentarily and Newheart takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Newheart is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Hyabusa circles away from the clinch attempt.
Hyabusa swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Hyabusa lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Newheart throws a hook but Hyabusa blocks it. Newheart lands a jab. Newheart tries to clinch up but Hyabusa circles away and keeps his distance. A telegraphed right hand from Hyabusa misses the target. Newheart listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Newheart tries to close the distance and clinch but Hyabusa swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Newheart slips a straight right by Hyabusa. Hyabusa might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hyabusa moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Hyabusa misses the jab. Newheart showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Hyabusa.
Hyabusa connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Kyle Newheart's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Some wild striking there from Hyabusa.

and Newheart counters with a head kick. That will keep Hyabusa thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Hyabusa looks to throw the jab but Newheart is out of range. Hyabusa swats away the attempt to clinch by Newheart. Ryu Hyabusa seems to be getting the better of the standup. Newheart is looking to clinch. Hyabusa takes one to the side of the head.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Newheart tries to close the distance and clinch but Hyabusa swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Newheart keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Newheart moves into the clinch. Newheart slowing the pace effectively. Newheart works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

Jeez, Kyle Newheart's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked. Newheart instigates a clinch. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Hyabusa creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Hyabusa has had enough of the clinch but Newheart keeps him there for the moment. Hyabusa is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Newheart prevents Hyabusa from breaking the clinch. Newheart is working for takedown but Hyabusa is calmly controlling the position for now. Newheart is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Hyabusa breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Newheart takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Kyle Newheart's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
